Radio is the love of my life; the last 12 months have been more than I could have ever dreamed for. I am SO excited to see what I can achieve in the next 12 months!

I can’t thank RTI enough; I completely underestimated the power of studying something you love surrounded by people who have the same passions as you. They’ve kept me feeling inspired, and if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be where I am now. Heidi, Ti and the incredible lecturers not only provided me with the knowledge and tools to forge a career in radio, but they inspired every single time I walked into the building.

It’s been a long road, but from a little girl it was always my dream to entertain people, and I finally get to do that with my amazing job. My dreams are finally becoming my reality, and I could not be more grateful!

Heidi and the whole crew at RTI are the best in the business. All their support, guidance and knowledge of radio is amazing, I owe it to them for giving me that pathway into the industry.

RTI gave me the skills, the contacts, and most importantly the confidence to achieve every goal that I set out to achieve in the radio industry. From the moment I walked in the door I felt supported, even after graduating, the team at RTI have continued to be an amazing resource.

The combination of experienced lecturers and hands-on experience have proven to be the difference with RTI – the course perfectly bridges the gap between commercial and community radio. RTI made me confident in my abilities, right now I’m an announcer at Hit FM Gippsland, and I doubt I would be here without their infinite support.

RTI changed my life. It got me that foot in the door that I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else or any other way (trust me I tried). I was lucky enough to be plucked out of the course before even finishing and now LOVE what I do every single day. Thank you RTI, for the knowledge, experience, new life long friends and great times.

Some of my favourite memories were created during my 20 weeks at RTI. I met some of the most wonderful people; classmates, lecturers and employees during my time at work experience. The Advanced Radio Course cemented my passion for radio. With on-going support and the wisdom from our lecturers, it gave me the confidence to go out and pursue a career in the field I love. Only two months after graduating, I now work at HIT FM Gippsland as the Promotions Manager. I also work alongside a fellow classmate; Nick – who is part of the brekky team.

Having a career in radio has always been a dream of mine, and the Radio Training Institute gave me the skills and training I needed to make this a reality!
It also connected me with some fantastic peers and mentors who helped me obtain my first job in radio. I’m now a Commercial Producer for Southern Cross Austereo.

It gives you a sound knowledge of radio. Not to mention the ongoing support you receive and the work experience. The studio and facilities were available beyond the hours of the course, which made it helpful for someone like me, who lives 5 hours away from Melbourne. I now work for Southern Cross Austereo at Star FM/The River in Albury in Promotions and Announcing. Without RTI I would definitely not be in a position to enter the radio industry.

After many years of working jobs that I had no interest in pursuing further, I decided to try the Intro to Radio course at the Radio Training institute. I now work at Fox FM in Street Team and a Panel Operator, with many goals & aspirations to pursue in the radio world & I couldn’t be happier with how RTI has helped me move my work & job history into a rewarding career.

I studied the Advanced Radio Course in 2015, and found it to be not only the most comprehensive way of learning the broad scope of radio, but also a fantastic way to connect with the industry and peers. Now working full time as a creative writer/announcer, what I learned at RTI has formed the basis of everything I now do.
